Head of Clinical Research
The KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme has a strong record of conducting high quality clinical research in a broad range of settings. This includes clinical epidemiology, bed side pathophysiology and clinical trials of existing and new treatments and vaccines that are urgently needed for diseases that present a high burden for developing countries.
We are looking for a Head of Clinical Research to lead and coordinate clinical research within the programme to ensure that it fulfills its potential as a leading centre for clinical research in Africa.
Applicants should be clinicians with a PhD, MD or equivalent in a field related to health research with a proven track record in initiating and conducting clinical research especially in Africa. They should have experience of working with Ministries of Health in Africa and have demonstrated ability to raise substantial research funding.
