PCVIS Newsletter - Issue 5 (November 2009)

In our fifth issue of PCVIS News:

• A global campaign against pneumonia is launched on Nov 2, World Pneumonia Day, marking the beginning of renewed efforts to combat the disease.
• Running for survival: the Kenya Paediatric Association run on Saturday 21 Nov, 7am -1.00pm. The run will be flagged off at the University of Nairobi Graduation square.
• PCVIS project a blessing to facilities: dispensaries implementing the PCVIS project have benefitted from battery and solar panel top ups. They have also received data clerks who are an extra hand in performing other duties within the dispensary.
• Midoina hosts Health Action Day: residents of this hardship area situated in the semi arid zone of Bamba district received health care on September 12, courtesy of the Kilifi District Health Stakeholders Forum.
