Brett Lowe
Research
Brett joined the Kilifi KEMRI-Wellcome programme in April 1992 and has been instrumental in the development of the programme's laboratory based research to its current status.
Currently, Brett is based at the Muhimbili Wellcome Trust Programme in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania where he is working to develop a high quality laboratory infrastructure to underpin the current and proposed research agenda there.
Major milestones with the programme:
Designing and over-seeing the construction of the Centre's new laboratories and office facilities - completed in 2005.
Establishing international recognition of the laboratories' quality management systems with GCLP Accreditation - awarded in 2007.
