Jane Chuma

Jane Chuma completed a PhD in health economics in 2005 from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Her research interests include equity in access to health care services and health related interventions; evaluation of different health care financing mechanisms including health insurance and tax funding; the economic burden of disease and; the relationship between ill health, poverty and vulnerability. Beyond research, Jane has a keen interest in capacity building for Health Economics in Africa and for social sciences in general. She is a member of various international capacity building and research groups.
