Newton holds a B.Sc. in Nursing from the University of Nairobi and M.Sc. in Epidemiology from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He joined KEMRI/Wellcome Trust Research Programme in 2005 under the Child and Newborn Health Group.
He is currently part of a team summarizing evidence underlying treatment recommendations for children in Kenya.
His research interests cover a range of areas in evidence synthesis, systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines.
