Patrick Mbindyo

Patrick graduated with a BA Sociology and Geography (Hons) from Kenyatta University and also holds an M.Sc. in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from The London School of Economics and Political Science. He joined KEMRI/Wellcome Trust Research Programme in 2005 as a Social Scientist.
He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa). His thesis compares the performance of Clinical Officers working in public and faith-based hospitals in Kenya in an effort to gain insights as to how performance of public sector Clinical Officers can be improved.
His research interests include understanding, measurement and improvement of performance of Kenya's health workers.
